Change the Minecraft version

  1. Make a backup first (see Backups). Moving to an older version can damage a world.
  2. Press Stop.
  3. Open the Startup tab and set Minecraft Version to the version you want, for example 1.21.4. Leave Build Number on latest.
  4. Open the Settings tab and press Reinstall Server. This downloads the new server jar. Your world and plugins stay.
  5. Start the server. Check that your plugins support the new version.
