Terms of service

Last updated: November 2026. KrillCloud provides Minecraft game server hosting. The service is run by [OWNER LEGAL NAME], a sole trader trading as KrillCloud, of [CONTACT ADDRESS], United Kingdom. Support: support@krillcloud.com. By ordering you agree to these terms, the refund policy and the acceptable use policy.

1. The service

You rent a game server with the RAM, CPU and disk shown on your plan (currently 2, 4, 6 or 8 GB). Servers are created automatically after payment. You can change plan from your account page; the new size applies when the server next restarts. If you buy our managed setup (£20, one-off), we configure the server for you as agreed with you.

2. Your account

3. Payment and renewal

Plans are monthly subscriptions in pounds (£6, £11, £16 and £21 a month for 2, 4, 6 and 8 GB), taken by card through Stripe. We never see or store your card number. Your subscription renews automatically each month on the same date until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from the billing page or by contacting support; the server then runs to the end of the month you have paid for and is not renewed. Upgrades are charged for the rest of the month; downgrades are credited on your next invoice. See the refund policy for refunds.

4. Failed payments, suspension and termination

5. Chargebacks, disputes and fraud

If you have a problem with a charge, please contact support first; we would much rather fix it or refund you where you are entitled to one. If you instead raise a chargeback or payment dispute with your bank, the server is suspended until the dispute is resolved. We will not refund a charge twice: if a dispute is decided in your favour, no further refund is owed, and if it is decided against you, the amount and any dispute fees charged to us remain payable. We may cancel, refund and refuse any order that Stripe Radar or our own checks flag as likely fraud, and we may close accounts used for fraud.

6. Uptime

We aim to keep servers running and maintain them carefully, but uptime is best-effort. There is no service level agreement (SLA) at the moment and no compensation for downtime, planned maintenance, or problems outside our control (for example a data-centre, network or provider outage, or a DDoS aimed at the network). Your statutory rights are not affected.

7. Your data and backups

Backups are best-effort: they are a convenience, they can fail or be incomplete, and they are not a guarantee. You should keep your own copies of anything you care about (download your world regularly from the panel or by SFTP). Apart from the final 30-day backup described above, deleted servers cannot be recovered. You own your worlds and content; you give us permission to store and process them only to run the service.

8. Your responsibilities

You must follow the acceptable use policy, the Minecraft EULA and Mojang's commercial usage rules, and all UK law. You are responsible for what happens on your server, including the plugins, mods and jars you upload. You may upload your own jars through the file manager or SFTP; the startup command and Java image are managed by us.

9. Our liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or your statutory consumer rights (including that services must be provided with reasonable care and skill). Subject to that: we are not liable for lost worlds, lost players, lost profits or income, or indirect losses; and our total liability to you for any problem is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months before it happened.

10. Changes

We may change these terms or our prices. We will give you at least 30 days' notice by email, and changes do not apply to a month you have already paid for. If you do not agree, you can cancel before the change takes effect.

11. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales (if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may also rely on the law there). Consumers keep any right they have to use the courts of the part of the UK where they live.
